Santa visits Emmet

EMMET – Santa made a visit to Emmet Saturday night, participating in the community’s 24th annual Christmas parade and visiting with children at a holiday event that followed in the Chuck Wagon.

Melvin Nightingale was honored for his service to the community and parade effort. However, Santa was the star attraction as youngsters lined up to visit with the jolly old elf and let him know what they want for Christmas this year. The children who visited St. Nick were given a stuffed animal. There were also plenty of cookies and hot chocolate for patrons as well.
