3rd Ave. renamed Sandra K. Evans Ave.

PRESCOTT – Third Ave. is now Sandra K. Evans Ave.

The Prescott City Council recently voted to change the name of the street in honor of Evans for all the work she did in the community. A group those who knew her gathered for the changing of the signs, which was done by the Prescott Street Department. Evans recently died of cancer and served as a member of the Prescott School Board on two occasions.

Satara Williams, a friend of Evans’, thanked everyone for showing up and told about Evans’ life. She also thanked the city council for approving the change of street names and signs. Pink balloons were released in her memory.
