Farmer’s market open Saturday
WASHINGTON – The Old Washington Farmers’ Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 9.
The market is located behind Washington City Hall across from Williams Tavern Restaurant in Washington, Arkansas. Come out and support your local farmers and get locally grown produce.
Vendors at the market include: Arnold Farm of DeAnn with yellow and green zucchini, yellow squash, small and long English cucumbers, some tomatoes; Silvey Farm of Bodcaw with green beans, kale, lettuce, potatoes, squash, homemade rolls, jellies, and wooden elderberry whistles; Peggy Carrigan of Ozan with various baked goods; Aunt Fern from Ozan with her famous fried pies; Barry Produce of Washington with cucumbers, squash, jalapenos, mint sugar cookies, mint chocolate chip cookies, painted flower pots and delicious homemade lemonade; and Oak Creek Studio with honey and handcrafted and repurposed goods for the home.
