Students have fun with pumpkin decorating contest

PRESCOTT – Students from Kindergarten through the fourth grade at Prescott Elementary School had fun decorating pumpkins for a decorating contest recently.

The contest was sponsored by the PTP program with information about the contest sent home with students, who were to decorate their pumpkin like their favorite character and display it with the book the character is in. According to Kim Jester, most of the students participated. Judging was done earlier Monday, with the criteria being creativity and neatness. First, second and third places were awarded to the winners from K-4, along with two honorable mentions from each grade.

Cooper Dendy was the winner for kindergarten, with Adelli Torres second and Audrey Agnew third. Mari Jackson took the top spot for first grade, followed by Payzlee Fombee and Kayden Gulley. In the second grade, Olivia Quidea was first, with AdamĀ  second and Alyssa Glenn third. Bryce Lowdermilk was first in third grade, followed by Caileith Land and Lei Sisco. Jasmine Huckabee was the fourth grade winner, with Mikki Koger second and Jasper Greenwood third.
