Lloyd earns lifetime award

PRESCOTT – Peggy Lloyd was recently honored with a lifetime achievement award for her work in historical preservation.

The honor was bestowed on her at the Arkansas Historical Association’s 78th Annual Conference in Stuttgart. The theme of the conference was “Land, Race and Identity”. Lloyd, a member of the Nevada County Depot and Museum’s board of directors, was honored for her continuous commitment to preserving, promoting and enhancing Arkansas history.

Lloyd played an important part in helping the museum obtain the Elkins Ferry and Prairie D’Ane Civil War battlefields.
