HOPE- Kristen Brown of Fountain Lake won the Watermelon Idol competition at the 43rd Annual Hope Watermelon Festival. Brown performed Dolly Parton song “Mule Skinner Blues.” Hometown celebrity Wyatt Putman opened up the stage with songs from his album “Outlaw Reputation.”
Grammy winning and six time vocal group of the year, Diamond Rio took the CMC Steel Products Stage at 8:30. They have sold more the 10 million albums in their careers. With 22 top ten singles they started the night off with their hit song, “Unbelievable” from their fifth studio album released in 1998.
