Fred Boyce

Fred C. Boyce went to his heavenly home to sing in the Lord’s choir on March 16, 2022. He was born May 9th, 1929 in Columbus, AR to Lucius K. Boyce and Fannie Reeder Boyce, eighth of ten children. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by two daughters, Renee Stewart and Karen Boyce; five brothers, Ralph, Milton, Lucius II, Richmond, and Benjamin; four sisters, Isabelle Webb, Clarice Caldwell, Nannie Phillips, and Alma Brock.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Erma Ferguson Boyce; son Rodney Boyce of Hope; two daughters, Susan Rider of Patmos and Dianne Bounds (Clyde) of Texarkana, TX; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Kay Boyce of Fouke, AR; numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friend, Andy Sherbert.
He retired after 29 years as a Volkswagen mechanic. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing at area lakes, raising cattle, and attending gospel singings. He was of Baptist Faith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Cemetery or the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank family and friends for their thoughts and prayers, and the nurses and staff at Heather Manor Nursing Home for their care and compassion.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, March 18, 2022 at Columbus Cemetery, Columbus, Arkansas, with Mr. Sunny Nutt and Mr. Doug Loop officiating.
