Oexman arrested for child porn, drugs

HOPE – On May 23, 2022 at approximately 2:30 pm, a search warrant was conducted at 526 Highway 355 West as a result of a joint operation of agents of Arkansas State Police Company C and the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Deputies that are members of the Arkansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The search warrant was based from an investigation from the Arkansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that warranted an arrest warrant for Jim Oexman age 51, of Hope, for 150 counts of child pornography.

After arriving to the residence, Arkansas State Police and Hempstead County Investigators took Jim Oexman into custody. During the search warrant of the residence, ASP and Hempstead County Investigators located suspected methamphetamine, several methamphetamine salt capsules and Methylphenidate Hydrochloride pills, several cellular phones, drug paraphernalia, and firearms inside of the residence.

Jim Oexman was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Center for Distributing, possessing, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of firearms by certain persons.

Oexman is awaiting a first court appearance.
