Nevada County crash claims life

PRESCOTT – An Arkadelphia teen was killed this morning (Tuesday) on Interstate 30 eastbound at the 42 mile marker near Prescott in a one vehicle crash. The preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police identified the victim as Kaylen Jarrel McKinney, 19, of Arkadelphia. Injured was Blair Gatlin, 20, of Malvern.

A 2010 Camaro driven by McKinney was traveling east in the right lane when it left the roadway to the right and struck a tree. Gatlin was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Hot Springs. Trooper Robert Neese was the investigating officer. The wreck was reported at 6:00 am.
