The Hope Lions heard from one of their own Monday when Victoria Bradley gave a program about the Central Arkansas Development Council. Bradley is the Supervisor of the Hope office and explained the organization is a non-profit founded in 1965. CADC absorbed the counties served by the Southwest Arkansas Development Council when it went away. She noted they have such programs as LI-HEAP, a program to help local residents who have occasional troubles paying their utility bills, Medical Transportation, weatherization services, commodities, rental assistance, labor assistance, specialized telephones, and a diaper assistance program.
