David Allen McNiel

David Allen McNiel, age 70, of Spring Hill, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, August 2, 2024. David was born to Travis Clide and Jewell Faye (Shoemake) McNiel on April 22, 1954. He was a dedicated member of Bethany Baptist Church in Spring Hill for as long as he was able to attend and remained a faithful member throughout his life.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Betty Jean (McNiel) Rogers. On May 15, 1976, he married his sweetheart, Artie “Laurie” (Harrison) McNiel. He is survived by his wife of 48 years and three sons, whom he proudly witnessed being saved and baptized: David Michael McNiel and Sarah of Patmos, Arkansas, Danny Charles McNiel and his wife Montie of Spring Hill, Arkansas, and Kyle Benjamin McNiel and his wife Celeste of Texarkana, Texas. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Will, Garrett, Mikhyala, Lexi, Laney, Isiah, Isabella, Noah, Maggie, Clyde, Katie, Grady, Hudson, Mason, Charly, Ben, and Ryann; one great-grandchild, Logun, with another on the way. Additionally, he is survived by one sister, Julie (McNiel) Allison, and her husband Tommy of Spring Hill, Arkansas; two brothers, Clayton McNiel and his wife Denise of Emerson, Arkansas, and Joe McNiel and his wife Karen of Hope, Arkansas; along with many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, and a special friend, Wayne Allison.
David worked at Champion, Carpet Cushion, and Firestone, retiring in April of 2019. He loved his family immensely, and his favorite activities included camping, cheering for the Razorbacks, and supporting his grandchildren in all their endeavors.
David’s love, faith, and dedication to his family and community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
Visitation 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Tuesday August 6, 2024, at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest 1001 South Main St Hpe, Arkansas 71801
Funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Tuesday August 6, 2024, at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest with Bro. Eric Goble and Eric Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery Spring Hill, Arkansas.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
