Patrica Kay Easterling

Patrica Kay Easterling (Wagner) passed away in hospice care on 11/20/2024 shortly after 5 AM.

Pat was born on 01/14/1941 in Memphis Tennessee and lived a dynamic life. She was a talented artist, a professional equestrian, and a wonderful cook. She loved her grandchildren, playing with them when they were little, watching their games and activities, and teaching them skills and life lessons. She also enjoyed gardening, music, watching films, and going to the casino. Pat was a horseback riding instructor, founding Capricorn Equestrian Center in Garland Texas in 1977. She served as college instructor of horsemanship for Brookhaven and Richland Junior colleges, as well as for SMU and UTD. She also had a passion for teaching children and teens at the Capricorn day-camp and was a lifelong mentor to several of her students.

Pat had a can-do spirit. She was known for her drive to fix things that were broken and for her confidence in tackling many problems, especially those that were new to her.

She is survived by her husband, Perry Wayne Easterling, daughter, Christine Kay Seymour (Jared Cairelli), sons Philip Wayne Easterling (Shannon Easterling) and Chad Vincent Easterling (Hollie Easterling), grandchildren Jillian Seymour, Dylan Easterling (Anna Easterling), and Fletcher Seymour, and her great granddaughter by Dylan, Camden Easterling. She is also survived by her youngest sister Diane Cooper, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, sister and brother in-laws.
