Brotherhood of Fulton to Distribute Hens for Thanksgiving

The Brotherhood of Fulton will be distributing hens to approximately 80 families this Thanksgiving.  President Jessie Henry said the group has been doing this for the past 35 years and for over 20 of those years the Brazzel family has contributed the hens.  Henry and Ben Brazzel are shown loading one of the boxes at Barry’s Grocery assisted by Barry’s owner Duane Brown.  Brown orders and stores the hens for the effort.  Henry says they great appreciate the Brazzel family and Barry’s for their help in this effort.

The Thanksgiving effort is just one of the projects of the Brotherhood of Fulton.  The group will distribute toys to needy youngsters at Christmas.  The group also sponsors 25 to 30 benefit programs each year for persons in need due to sickness or disability.  Their next benefit program is set for December 7th at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Emmet.  This program will raise funds for Sister Tarajae Mckillon.  The program starts at 7pm and the Brotherhood will be joined by the Sisterhood of Fulton.

The Brotherhood of Fulton has been quietly doing benevolent work in southwest Arkansas for the past 35 years.  The group helps many people throughout the year in various ways, mostly behind the scenes.

The Hope-Prescott News is always happy to help the Brotherhood of Fulton as they work to make Hope, Hempstead County, and Southwest Arkansas a better place to live.
