Pamela Doris Young Choate

Pamela Doris Young Choate born January 21, 1927, in Oxfordshire, England to Leonard William Young and Pamela Ings Young entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
At 18 years old, Pamela left her war-torn beloved England as a war bride to come to what she thought would be a better life in America. She lived through bombings and the terror of war, and none of her family were harmed. She has testified that God saved them many times. She and many other war brides made the long journey to America. Although she suffered seasickness and poor living conditions during her journey, she made it to America with high expectations of a beautiful new life. Her early life here was hard, but she persevered and raised two young boys by working at a bicycle factory and pinching pennies. During this time, she had unwavering faith that God would see her through, and she and her boys would find their way out of poverty.
God brought Paul Choate in her life and suddenly their life changed for the better. God blessed Paul and Pam with two more sons. She and Paul served the Lord together and touched many lives loving people the way Jesus led them to do. She was a prayer warrior and loved to play the piano and worship the Lord. Her gift of prayer, love, sweet hugs, and original poetry ministered to many people and exemplified her love for Jesus. She was an extraordinary woman of faith. Her children rise up and call her blessed just as the Proverbs 31 woman of the Bible. Paul and Pamela founded Word of Faith Church in Blevins and were lead pastors until August 2005. They also served seven years as pastors of Marlbrook Baptist Church in Blevins.
