Special Hope School Board Meeting
A special Hope School Board Meeting was called for January 6th.
The first item on the agenda was the football turf bids. The turf at Hammons Stadium has been in place for a number of years and needs to be replaced. Hope Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Crossley said there were 4 bids received. One of the board members asked if any of the district’s buildings need repairs. Dr. Crossley indicated there were no structural repair needs. Board member Bill Hoglund noted the replacement of the turf was planned. Dr Crossley gave a suggestion on which bid to accept. A motion was made and accepted to go with the lowest bid. Mr. Crossley also talked about reviving the Sports Hall of Fame. He asked the board members to decide on one of the board members to serve on that committee along with the alumni committee. It was agreed Jimmy Courtney will be on Sports/Activities committee, board members Janice Milus and Bubba Powers will be on Classified, and Mr. Alvis Hamilton will be on Alumni.
The meeting was then adjourned.
