Hope School Board

The Hope School Board met on Tuesday (4-15) in the high school auditorium. After the last meeting’s minutes were approved, Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Crossley gave his report. Students, staff, parents and community members were then recognized.
The board discussed the purchasing of a new vehicle for use across the district. A vehicle was found and a motion passed to purchase the vehicle.
The federal government has updated their race policy, thus affecting school hiring policies. Concerns were raised about this change in federal policy and comments were voiced about how there needs to be compensation for those affected.
The Board went into a closed session for two of student hearings.
