
Donald Mack Munn, 82, of Rosston, AR passed away at home after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on January 26, 1944, to Bynum McRay Munn and Geneva Glass Munn in Prescott, AR. On April 6, 1962, he married his life long sweetheart Yvonne Smith. Together they raised two children, created a beautiful life, made a multitude of memories and loved unconditionally, until he fulfilled his wedding vows on their 64th anniversary.
Don was preceded in death by his son, Donald Randall Munn, his parents, maternal grandparents Henry and Bertha Glass, and paternal grandparents, Bynum and Lela Munn, sister Anita Munn Wicker, and a brother, Tony Munn.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Yvonne, daughter Lisa Munn Cowart and husband Larry, brothers Kenny Munn and Authur Munn, sister Jeanette Munn Steed, brother-in-law Ellis Smith and many extended family and friends.
Donald grew up with a love for farming. He never lost that love and was heartbroken when he was no longer able to do it. He was never happier than when he was plowing behind his horse and mules. He raised broilers and cows for 34 years which he also found pleasure in. The fruits of his labor showed when his family was chosen as the Farm Family of the Year in 1980.
He proudly served in the Arkansas National Guard and Army Reserves for 27 ½ years before retiring as 1st Sgt. He always had great respect for his country and fellow servicemen. Don was also a Master Mason and served at the Prescott Masonic Lodge.
Saturday morning breakfast with his friends at the K & B Grill was something he enjoyed.
He was a member of Morris Baptist Church. It broke his heart when he was no longer able to attend services every Sunday.
Donald Mack was very dedicated to the care and upkeep of Caney Cemetery. He asked that instead of flowers that monetary donations be made to the cemetery fund. Any donations can be sent to Caney Cemetery C/O Dennis Hicks 3094 Nevada 23 Prescott, AR 71857. God Bless you all.
Visitation will be held 10:00am on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Morris Baptist Church.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Bro. Matthew Miller officiating.
Burial will follow at Caney Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Prescott.
