HOPE – Hope Public Schools is proud to announce that Jair Arroyo, a student at Hope High School, has been selected as the Arkansas recipient of the prestigious Billy Michal Student Leadership Award, presented by the National Association of Student Councils.
This national honor recognizes one student from each state, the District of Columbia, and select international schools who exemplify the highest standards of leadership, service, character, and citizenship. Jair is among approximately 50 students across the country selected for this distinction.
Recipients of the Billy Michal Award are chosen based on a rigorous application process that evaluates:
Demonstrated leadership within their school and community
Commitment to service and positive impact
Strong moral character and integrity
Academic achievement and involvement
Jair will represent Hope Public Schools and the state of Arkansas at a national recognition event in New Orleans this June, where he will join fellow student leaders from across the country.
“This is an exceptional accomplishment and a direct reflection of Jair’s work ethic, leadership, and character,” said Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Crossley. “We are proud to see one of our students recognized on a national stage and represent the values of Hope Public Schools.”
Jair’s selection highlights the continued commitment of Hope Public Schools to developing student leaders who make a difference both inside and outside the classroom.
Hope Public Schools congratulates Jair Arroyo on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to his continued success.
