PRESCOTT – Kudos go to the Prescott’s Principals and their baseball and Curley Cubs track teams! The principals made Arkansas Children’s Week extra special by taking the time to spend time with them and read aloud to them inspiring a love of reading in the process.
The Baseball team won 12-5 and the Curley Cubs Track teams have their last two meets and will head to the District Championship to seek their 22nd Championship in a row!
The community is invited to join the High School Seniors Sports Banquet that will be held on May 22nd. Tickets must be obtained by May 14th. Doors will open at 5:30 and the banquet starts at 6.
Last week Ms. Green’s physical science class completed a three-part lab simulating the production of calcium carbonate from calcium hydroxide using carbon dioxide produced by cellular respiration! This mimicked the breakdown of coral skeletons due to acidification helping the students connect chemistry to real life environmental issues.
