Nevada School Board

The Nevada School District met on Thursday (4-16).  After a prayer and the pledge of allegiance, the previous meeting’s minutes were considered and there were no changes.

Carol Foster, the principal, gave a report on a recent testing.  She said the students won’t get their scores right away.  She congratulated Annabeth Hunt, for doing well in the Future Business Leaders of America.  She also made note of the prom that happened last week.  She noted the prom went well.

Superintendent Roy McCoy said the district lost some students over the winter, but they gained enough new students to recoup the loss.

The board approved a bid for roofing on district buildings.  The board accepted a bid from Terry’s Roofing.  The bid was $815,000.

The board accepted a resignation from their music teacher, Mr. Kyle. The board hired Mickey Null as Pre-K music teacher for 2026-2027.
