
Mary Sue McIntosh, 93, of Spring Hill, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 19,2026, with her precious Deb by her side at Heather Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hope, AR.
Sue was one of 10 siblings born to Mary and Bunt Cato of Spring Hill, AR. With her death, only one sister, Kathryn Odell Humphries, is surviving.
Sue was a faithful and longtime member of Anderson Baptist Church. She held numerous jobs throughout her working career and was never afraid to put in hard work. She enjoyed spending time gardening, but most of all she loved to fulfill her role as ‘Mammaw’. She taught many of the grandkids things such as how to drive, how to cook a meal, and how to love and care for others. She will be so deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Lonnie McIntosh; her parents; five brothers, Loy Cato, Tim Cato, J.C. Cato, Dale Cato, and Billy Don Cato; and three sisters, Verna Dean Knight, Glenda McBay, and Gail Huckabee.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Ricky Putman and wife Debbie, and Lance McIntosh; four grandchildren, Chad Putman and wife Angie, Nason Putman and wife Aletha, Nicki Purifoy and husband Michael, and Jessi McIntosh and Chris Castle; ten great-grandchildren, Justin Smith and wife Nina, Wyatt Putman and wife Kara, Jessica Putman and Jake Faulkner, Ramsi Rowton and husband Alex, Kyler Putman, Colin Purifoy, Ava Purifoy, Raeli Putman, Emma Putman, Brooks Looney, and Easton Carwile; three great-great-grandchildren, Raid and Remi Rowton and John Beckett Faulkner; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Anderson Cemetery in Spring Hill, AR.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to the staff of Heather Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care they provided for Sue during her time there.
