The Hope Kiwanis Club heard from Hyden Luker of Tyson for their program on Tuesday (4-21). Luker noted the plant has hired 406 new employees over the past six months. Totally staffed, the plant will have 1,560 workers and the plant is about 50 shy of that now. The plant pays an average hourly wage of $19.52. The club enjoyed the update on Hempstead County’s largest employer.
