…TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN HEMPSTEAD COUNTY...
At 1130 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Washington, or 9 miles northwest of Hope, moving
southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD…Tornado and two-inch hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
Locations impacted include…
Hope, Washington and Oakhaven.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building
away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a
vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself
from flying debris.
Tornadoes are difficult to observe at night. Take cover now!

* At 1115 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located near Washington, or 11 miles northwest of Hope,
moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD…Tornado and golf ball size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
