…TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN HEMPSTEAD, NORTHEASTERN LAFAYETTE AND SOUTHWESTERN
NEVADA COUNTIES…
At 1228 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Bodcaw, or 11 miles north of Stamps, moving
southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD…Tornado and golf ball size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
Locations impacted include…
Willisville, Bodcaw, Patmos and Falcon.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building
away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a
vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself
from flying debris.
Tornadoes are difficult to observe at night. Take cover now!

* At 1210 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Washington,
or 6 miles northwest of Hope, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD…Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Hope, Emmet, Perrytown, Washington, Bodcaw, Patmos, Oakhaven,
Sutton and Mount Moriah.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
dangerous hail and damaging winds.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
