UAHT Alpha Beta Gamma Honor Society named Leadership Texarkana Organization of the Year

TEXARKANA – The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana’s Alpha Beta Gamma Business Honor Society received the top Wilbur Award for Outstanding Organization at Leadership Texarkana’s annual Lunch with Leaders event today.

The group was selected from seven nominated organizations. Alpha Beta Gamma is a national honor society that recognizes and encourages academic achievement among students in business and professional programs at two-year institutions. The organization also provides leadership opportunities, promotes the exchange of ideas, and encourages continued academic excellence.

“The Alpha Beta Gamma Honor Society at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana engages and inspires others in Texarkana by leading through service and example,” the organization’s nominator said. “Their consistent involvement motivates others to step into leadership roles and strengthens the connection between the college and the community, creating a lasting impact.”

UAHT students Samanta Lopez-Castro, Madison Burnett-Akins, Tashun Richardson, and Aubrey Ferguson accepted the award alongside advisors Rachel Parson and Shamanda Nelson.
