
SPRING HILL – Many businesses and individuals contributed to make Teacher Appreciation Week a success by donating food, drinks and support. The district was grateful for all the support.
A shout out was given to the school nurse, Tracy Trickett, for her kindness, patience and compassion when supplying ice packs, encouraging words, bandages, temperature checks and every moment of care.
The district also celebrated Lunch Lady (School Nutrition Staff) Appreciation Day. These staff members build relationships, offer kindness and make sure every child’s needs are addressed as they feed the school.
For Principal Appreciation Day, Kayla Parker, was honored for her long hours, dedication and unwavering commitment to creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.
Due to a conflict with the Athletic Banquet the School Board meeting was delayed till the 18th.
The district is accepting bids for the food/non-food items. The district is also accepting applications for student workers through Friday, May 15th. The student must be at least 16 years old.
Summer EBT is back with extra grocery benefits of $120 to qualifying families.
There will be Early Dismissal on May 19th-21st.
There will be a Spring Hill Basketball Clinic coming this summer for boys and girls entering 2nd-6th grade. The cost will be $20 per child. The dates are July 29th-30th and will include scrimmage games on Thursday at 5.
Mrs. Plant’s Strategic Reading Class completed projects depicting scenes from various novels. Seventh graders did a great job. Novels portrayed included The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and Call it Courage.
