TEXARKANA – An update to a missing person case of a Louisiana man that garnered interest in the Ark-Ka-Tex…
On June 11th, 2026, the Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department was notified of human remains near Delaware and Ray Street. The remains were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for evidence processing and identification.
On June 18th, 2026, we received confirmation, from the Arkansas State Crime Lab, of the identity of the remains, through deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) testing. The remains have been positively identified as belonging to Jonathan Bohrer, who was reported missing in Bossier Parish, LA on May 6th, 2026. Bohrer’s truck was found on East Street in Texarkana, AR on May 12th, 2026. Both TAPD and Bohrer’s family have been searching for him in the Texarkana area since that date.
TAPD’s sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of Jonathan Bohrer. While this is not the outcome we wanted, we hope that this confirmation will help bring closure and a degree of healing to the Bohrer family.
Currently, we are still awaiting results from the Arkansas State Crime Lab Medical Examiner’s Office on information that would assist us in determining the cause of death of Bohrer. TAPD’s investigation is ongoing in this incident and anyone that has information regarding the tragic death of Bohrer is asked to contact the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 903-798-3154.
