
Robert Larry “Bob” Daniels, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home with his wife Donna at his side on July 31, 2026.
Born on November 25, 1939, in Flat Rock, Alabama, Bob lived an extraordinary life.
Bob was the son of Leonard and Katie Daniels, who instilled in him the values of kindness, integrity, and hard work. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Bennie Rainer, and his wife’s son Trent.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Donna, whose partnership and love defined their many years together. Their marriage was a testament to true companionship, filled with adventures around the world.
Bob is survived by his children: Michael, married to Jenny; Scott, married to Jill; and Kathy, married to Joe; and Trey. He was immensely proud of his grandchildren-Kathlyn, Allison and Kevin, Sophie, Cassandra, Georgiana and Mario, Nathan, and Aurora. He delighted in their accomplishments and took great joy in watching them grow into impressive adults.
He is also survived by his sister, Keenar, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews as well as cousins.
Bob’s life was a testament to his dedication to family, his loyalty to friends, and his commitment to his community. He was a man of many talents and interests, known for his love of Alabama Crimson Tide, his friends from the Marines, and infectious smile that could brighten any room.
The family will hold a private service at a later date. Services are entrusted to Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.
