Kay Francis Nelson, 80, of Bluff City, Arkansas, passed away on August 3, 2026.
Mrs. Nelson was born on July 24, 1946, to Helen Marie McBride Cox and Lois Howard Cox in Prescott, Arkansas.
Kay was a faithful member of Bluff City Church of Christ.
She spent her free time painting, tending to her plants, and taking care of others with a hot meal. She was also an exceptional piano player and loved to listen to music. Most of all though, Kay loved her family and the Lord fiercely. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, James Nelson; her sons, Vince Nelson and wife Amanda, and Andy Nelson and wife Leah; four grandchildren, Lauren Pickering and husband Mack, Lindsay Nicole Bogan and husband Brent, Tyler Nelson, and Lexi Nelson; three great-grandchildren, Asher Johnson, Ryan Bogan, and Crew Bogan; her brother Scotty Cox and wife Gilda; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 6:00- 8:00 PM at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Bluff City Church of Christ with Pastor Rod Halliburton officiating.
Burial will follow at Bluff City Cemetery.
