Dennis W. “Denny” Moten, 58, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026.
He was born on August 10, 1967, in Texarkana, TX to the late Dennis C. and Wanda Jean Turner Moten.
Denny, a.k.a Shoestring followed in his father’s footsteps and was a truck driver by trade. He loved the “big trucks” and was happiest when he was “trucking”. Denny loved running trot lines on the river and spending time with his family. His biggest joy was his son, Seth.
Denny’s passing leaves a hole in our hearts but we know he is no longer hurting and sick, and for that we are thankful.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers, Ernest “Ernie” Moten, Charles “Chuck” Moten, and Damon Moten.
Survivors include his son Seth Moten; brother Steve Moten; four sisters Rose Ann Moten, Debbie Rosenbaum (John), Cynthia Tong, and Christie Pyle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 10:00am with Bro. Neal Ridling officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Homes of Hope.
