Donald Smith, age 88, of Hope, Arkansas passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026.
Mr. Smith was born on November 18, 1937, in Hope, Arkansas to his parents Roy and Ruby Ray Smith. He was a self-employed business owner of Dairy Queen in Hope, Arkansas for 40 years.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn Smith; four brothers, Travis Smith, Kenneth “Bud” Smith, Ricky Smith, Herman Smith; and one sister, Verna Mason.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Sheila Adams (Mark), Dana Powell, Lisa Garrett, Julie Moore (David); one son, Jim Oxman; three sisters, Christine Ivers, Debbie Cato, Brenda Hunt; eight grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Anderson Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Arkansas with Bro. Gary Bolin officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Anderson Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home, The Funeral Home of Hope, Ben Brazzel, Director.
