Garrett Memorial Christian School recognized as a Certified Best Christian Workplace

HOPE — Garrett Memorial Christian School (GMCS) is proud to announce that it has been recognized as a Certified Best Christian Workplace, an honor that reflects the school’s commitment to cultivating a Christ-centered culture where employees are valued, supported, and encouraged to serve with purpose.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the voices and experiences of GMCS employees. The certification evaluates key areas of workplace culture, including leadership, teamwork, trust, communication, personal development, and employee engagement.
“At GMCS, we believe the way we serve one another matters just as much as the work we accomplish,” said Christi Zumwalt, GMCS Administrator. “Our faculty and staff are more than employees—they are a ministry team united by a shared calling to serve Christ, love our students, and partner with families. This recognition is a testimony to the people who make GMCS such a special place to serve.”

GMCS seeks to create a workplace where employees understand that their individual roles contribute to a greater Kingdom purpose. From the classroom to athletics, fine arts, administration, maintenance, and every area in between, each member of the GMCS team plays an important part in fulfilling the school’s mission – awaken joy in Jesus by equipping the mind and engaging the heart of each SAINT. That mission extends beyond students to the culture GMCS seeks to foster among its faculty and staff.

“Being recognized as a Certified Best Christian Workplace does not mean we have arrived or that there is no room for growth,” Mrs. Zumwalt added. “Rather, it encourages us to continue building a healthy, Christ-honoring culture where people can grow, serve, and flourish together. We are grateful for our faculty and staff and for the unique gifts each person brings to our school community.”

GMCS celebrates this recognition with gratitude to its employees, families, students, Board of Trustees, and supporters who share in the school’s ministry.
