SPRING HILL – While Hope School District won the top spot for School improvement for Southwest Arkansas, Spring Hill Elementary was close behind with their second place in overall achievement for grades 3-6 for all subjects. Grades K-2 also won second place, and the district was third out of all elementaries and high schools!
Spring Hill instituted recently new student pick up procedures. Parents have been asked to enter between the High School and Junior High School buildings and follow the designated loop around the parking areas and leave the way they entered. Staying in line, staying in the vehicle and only parking in designated areas are other expectations. This is for afternoon pickups only.
Parking procedures for pep rallies is also shown on the school website.
The public notice and opportunity to comment for the Flex Ed Waiver Application was posted on August 28th. This would allow the district better meet local needs while remaining accountable for student performance. Employees must sign forms confirming how they spent their time. Extra funding is provided for schools serving students from low-income families. Comments may be submitted to Dr. Peter Maggio, Assistant Superintendent by email or by completing an online survey form.
