Spring Hill School Board meets

SPRING HILL – The Spring Hill School Board met on 8-24 at 6pm. The Board discussed the Atlas Results.

In grades 3-6, students ranked 2nd in achievement gains in all subjects, improved by 13.6%. K-2 placed 2nd in achievement gains, improved by 17%. Spring Hill elementary and high school got 3rd in achievement gains, improved by 12.6%

There was a new ice maker installed. The money for that was taken out of the building fund. There was a passed motion to accept the financial statement.

There were some policy changes that were reviewed and accepted. The board went into executive session. The Board discussed student transfers. The students, 11th and 12th grades are transferring from Hope Public Schools. There was an elementary teacher hired that Superintendent Jeffery Steed recommended, and Kaylne Powell, Gabrielle Taratino and Dawn Humophrey, were hired to fill for para-professionals positions..
