BLEVINS – Blevins reminds everyone that for grades 6-12 learning virtually while remaining a Hornet is an option. Virtual students have access to on campus service and support and student activities. They can go on school trips, participate in fair days, sports activities and school dances. On answer to a question on the school website, Blevins carved out the football field from the baseball field. This is the first year that Blevins has offered home football games and the district has been excited to see the support from the community.
The next home game is this Friday (September 11) at 6:30 against Cedar Ridge. Due to injuries on the junior team, it will only be the seniors this time. The schedule for game throughout the season is posted on the school website.
The senior boys’ basketball team are patiently waiting for the start of the season.
The Blevins Golf team is doing really well right now! Senior members are Kaden Powell, Paul Antley, Rilee Faulkner, Ethan Edens, and Jaxon Hinton.
Blevins Lunch and Learn session for Junior Class families was cancelled. The new date will be shared once it’s confirmed.
The Flock to the Top Reading Race has the leaders posted. For 1st grade Weston Brown is in 1st place! In the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade battle 2nd grade is in the lead with Eli Gomez! For 5th and 6th grade 6th grade is in the lead with Ella Shurdon in 1st place! 7th-12 graders are led by 8th grade with Raul Moreno in 1st place!
Grandparents are encouraged to come eat breakfast with their grandchildren on Monday 14th at 7:20 AM for grades K-12 and pre-K at 8:15.
