NASHVILLE – Exactly one week after meeting the Nashville Scrapper varsity tennis team in Hope, the Cats made the twenty-five mile journey to Scrapperville on Thursday, September 10th for a rematch. Despite the threat of a little shower that never developed, little got in the way of Hope dominating Nashville for the second week in a row, ( with one exception). Nashville has a nice, new tennis facility on their high school campus, with Hope competing there the last two seasons. Even with the wins, the Bobcats will most likely see the Scrappers again in the Conference Tournament in early October.

Drake Mathis (Hope) defeated Aiden Reid (Nashville) 6 to 1
Girls Singles
Julia Bobo (Hope) defeated Kaitlyn Bailey (Nashville) 7 to 5
Monica Bobo (Hope) defeated Ayden Howard (Nashville) 6 to 0
Boys Doubles
Riley Bramlett & Davis Johnson (Hope) defeated Taylor Bush & Evan Cooley 8 to 3
Girls Doubles
Layla Sirmon & Emily Wescott (Nashville) defeated Mycah Bradley & Jaime Young (Hope) 8 to 4
The Bobcats will have the weekend off to gather strength for the long drive to Malvern next Monday, September 14 where they’ll face the Leopards.
