HOPE – The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) invites graduating high school seniors and their families to attend free FAFSA Nights this November for help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The events will be held on the Hope Campus on Tuesday, November 17, and the Texarkana Campus on Thursday, November 19.
UAHT financial aid professionals will be available at both events to guide students and parents through the FAFSA application process, answer questions, and provide information about financial aid opportunities that can help make college more affordable.
FAFSA Night dates and locations:
Hope Campus: Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Texarkana Campus: Thursday, November 19, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Both events are free and open to all graduating high school seniors and their families, regardless of which college or university they plan to attend after graduation.
Completing the FAFSA is one of the most important steps students can take when preparing for college. The application helps determine eligibility for federal and state financial aid programs, including grants, work-study opportunities, and student loans. FAFSA information may also be used to determine eligibility for certain scholarships and other financial assistance.
UAHT encourages all college-bound seniors to complete the FAFSA, even if they are unsure whether they qualify for financial aid. Many students and families may be eligible for financial assistance they did not realize was available.
“Paying for college should never be the reason a student gives up on pursuing their education,” said Dr. Ricky Tompkins, UAHT Chancellor. “Our FAFSA Nights are an opportunity for students and families to sit down with knowledgeable financial aid professionals, get their questions answered, and take an important step toward making their college goals a reality. Whether students plan to attend UAHT or another institution, we want to help them succeed.”
Families are encouraged to attend a session and take advantage of the personalized, one-on-one assistance available. Completing the FAFSA early can help students better understand their financial aid options and prepare for the costs of attending college.
