Giant Watermelons On Display In Hope

If you missed the watermelon festival but want to see some giant watermelons, be sure to stop by Hope’s Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn.  Both have giant melons on display grown by Lloyd Bright.  The melons at the Hampton Inn weigh in at 117 pounds and 141 pounds.  The melon at the Holiday Inn Express weighs in at 155 pounds.

More big melons will be in evidence September 2nd at the Old Washington Farmers Market Watermelon weigh-off on September 2nd at 11am at Washington.  The public is invited.
