HOPE –
Downtown Hope will be getting a new business soon.

Terra Cox Butler is restoring the historic building at Walnut and 2nd for a salon called one/24. The building is 124 West 2nd. The new salon will be full service and offer the newest trends. Butler says they are working to bring the building down to its “raw original core” with a modern twist. Plans are to have the salon open in around 6 weeks.

The historic building most recently housed Clementine’s but has a long history. For many years it housed Elaine’s Final Touch and before that housed Ward and Son Drug from 1962 to the mid 80’s. Prior to Ward and Son the building housed Hammon’s Book and Gift store.

During the renovation two old skylights were uncovered in the building. The new business is just the latest in improvements that have come to downtown Hope in recent months.
