NASHVILLE – The Hope Bobcats finished off their second to last week of the 2026 baseball season with an away day at historic Wilson Park to face the Nashville Scrappers on April 17th. From start to finish however, the Scrappers simply played an insurmountable performance, winning 19-1. The home side set the evening’s tone immediately with a landmark ten runs in the first inning, and then going on to score nine more over the course of the five inning game, adding to their lead every inning. Nashville’s defense and pitching was lights out as well as the pitching combo managed to strike out twelve Bobcats. While the Bobcats’ offense was extremely scarce, Jaiden Brown, Drake Mathis, and Donny Reaves all produced hits in the game, although the lone Hope run in the game was brought in by a bases loaded walk, bringing in Donny.
The Bobcats will play their final three games of the season this week, starting with their last away match against Magnolia on Tuesday the 21st, then closing out the week with two home games against Horatio on Thursday the 23rd and a rematch against Magnolia on Friday the 24th.
